Lettuce Work's mission is to help young adults with autism, generally ages 18 - 25, successfully transition from high school into full-time employment.
Preparing Associates with Autism for Employment
We are a transition program and not intended to be a permanent employment solution for our associates with autism. Our focus is on coaching our associates to help them develop the soft skills required to be successful in the workplace, regardless of the type of employment, including:
- Appropriate workplace behaviors
- Communication
- Following directions/multi-step processes
- Appropriate interactions with peers and supervisors
- Quality control
Our goal is to prepare our associates with autism for employment and help them move on to other work opportunities as they are able.
